Dubai International (DXB) has two stations on Dubai Metro, one of the world’s most modern transit systems. It’s clean, efficient, air-conditioned and extremely cost-effective.

When

Trains run frequently from DXB Terminals 1 and 3, with both stations on the Red Line. The Red Line runs from 5 AM to midnight, Monday to Thursday; 5 AM to 1 AM (the next day) on Friday; 5 AM to midnight on Saturday and 8 AM to midnight on Sunday.

*Timings are subject to change during public holidays and celebrations, such as Eid and New Year’s Eve, when Dubai Metro services typically run longer hours to accommodate increased volumes of passengers. For more information, visit the RTA website.

Where

There are just two lines, making the network simple to use, even for newcomers. Most stations have connecting buses, and taxi ranks for onward travel. Most major hotels and tourist destinations are relatively close to a station.

Tickets

You can buy your ticket at the ticket offices in airport stations. The cost depends on how many zones you travel but is extremely affordable. Try the Nol card. It can be charged up with credit and there are different types of cards available to meet individual passenger needs.

The front carriage on each train is ‘gold class’, for a small premium – kids will love the view through the driverless front window! There is also a carriage for women and children only.

Baggage

You’re allowed up to two pieces of luggage (with one being hand luggage). For more information visit the RTA website

Dubai World Central

The nearest metro station is located at Ibn Battuta Mall which can be reached via bus or taxi.
